Inclusive education

Always following its Mission in maintaining high educational and ethical standards as well as providing the best learning environment for students, S.Y. Witte Moscow University strives to develop a barrier-free environment, guaranteeing the possibility of inclusive education for people with disabilities.

As a part of the activities designed to create and establish a procedure that promotes better integration of students with special needs into the educational process, our university is introducing new technical developments, purchasing appropriate equipment, and developing methodological documents. Modern system of higher education programs for people with disabilities is based on effective pre-university training, integrated learning, tutoring support and the use of distance learning technologies has been created at S.Y. Witte Moscow University.

Barrier-free architectural environment (access ramps to the university entrance, lift) has been created in the university building for students with mobility impairments. To respond promptly to possible health problems, the university has a medical сenter where qualified medical assistance can be provided immediately.

Our university version website for the visually impaired was created in 2014, allowing visually impaired people to view pages and documents with increased contrast and font, including the use of special screen-readers.

S.Y. Witte Moscow University continues to increase its technological equipment by purchasing and installing special multimedia and computer equipment that can be used in the education of students with disabilities of different nosological groups.
