On 1 March 2007, the Centre for Legal Aid was established at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. S.Y. Witte Moscow University established the Centre for Legal. On 1 September 2014, the Centre was renamed as the Legal Clinic, the main purpose of which is to provide free legal assistance to citizens in need of social support and to organize a permanent training and internship base for students of the Institute.
Types of assistance provided:
- personal reception of citizens
- remote counselling by e-mail
- on-site consultations
- classes for school and college students
- legal education of population
- organization of public lectures, etc.
The head of the Legal clinic is Irina Uvarova, Ph.D., assistant professor, head of the department of criminal law and procedure.
